Your novel should be divided into two sections (roughly halfway through the novel) and you must complete one sight passage analysis for each of the two sections of your novel.
Your analysis should be a culmination of a course long process of reading, critical thinking, conferencing and editing.
You will select TWO quotes from the novel (one from each section) that YOU believe are the most significant. Keep in mind, they must be from two different parts of the novel.
From there you will include a detailed analysis of WHY that quote is the most significant.
Look back at our previous sight passages and exemplars to recall the best structure, tone and content.

Most sight passages need to be structured as follows:
an insightful topic sentence
specific and larger context
character development
themes
literary devices
thoughtful conclusion
